Gyrls2Gems, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, was established in 2015 for the purposes of helping young gyrls navigate life’s pressures. To achieve this, a series of workshops were facilitated opening bold discussions on real life scenarios & events having the most impact on youth gyrls. Women of various ages and stages in life participate in the workshops creating a tribe for the youth to reach out to. Gyrls2Gems also partnered with Right Step Life Changes; a non-profit in Kingston, Jamaica. Together we offer payment of school fees, school supplies, school uniforms and provide groceries for the Kingston community.

In 2019 our work expanded to teaching & modeling the importance of community service, acts of kindness & leadership through our Homeless Outreach, 5Plates. In our 5Plates kitchen participants work side by side preparing & distributing meals, hygiene kits, clothing & other needs items. 5Plates promotes teamwork, innovation, community service and acts of kindness.
